# Optional: Whether to allow users to see the test / blind scores of their
# submissions prior to publishing results. This should only be enabled
# if you're not concerned about overfitting. Defaults to false.
show_unpublished_scores: true
# Optional: If true, then the 7-day publishing "speed bump" is disabled,
# allowing successful submissions to be published without delay.
#
# This can be enabled temporarily to backfill a leaderboard with established
# results before making it public, and disabled after backfilling is complete.
#
# Enabling this for public Leaderboards is possible, making it easier
# to publish results. Please note that it makes overfitting a model to
# the blind labels easy. So if you enable this for your leaderboard, either
# trust your submitters, or pay attention to incoming submissions to recognize
# people gaming the system.
disable_publish_speed_bump: true
# Optional: A ranking chart is displayed under the submissions, showing the
# performance of the primary metric over time. These values change the y-axis
# range, which defaults to 0.0 - 1.0.
ranking_chart_min: 0
ranking_chart_max: 100
# Required: The configuration for reading results from the evaluator
evaluator:
# Required: The metrics we expect from your evaluator.
#
# You must define the primary metric. This is named outside this YAML configuration,
# on the edit page of your Leaderboard; see https://leaderboard.allenai.org/admin.
#
# After your evaluator runs, we ingest its values into Leaderboard's DB. During this
# ingestion we require certain things:
#
# - The primary metric must be produce by your evaluator, unless you marked it as being
# supplemental. (See below for more about supplemental metrics.)
# - If you declare a metric as supplemental, it cannot be provided by the evaluator.
# - Other metrics you specify here are optional; if they are not produced by the evaluator,
# then they will appear as gaps in the leaderboard table (or "n/a" on the submission
# details page.)
# - If your evaluator produces metrics not listed here, they will be ignored
# without causing problems.
# - Your evaluator must succeed (exit code 0) according to Jetty.
#
# If your evaluator fails to meet the above requirements, the submission will appear as
# "failed" to the user. ReViz can look up the reason for the failure.
metrics:
# Required: A unique identifier for the metric.
- key: rougeL_default_track
# Required: The name to be displayed in the UI for the metric.
display_name: "ROUGE-L (Default Track)"
# Optional: Description will be used if listing the metrics and in tooltips
# You can also add newlines where you want them to appear in the tooltip by using '\n'
description: "ROUGE-L score between the model's prediction and the gold references. Default Track is for the English Tasks."
- key: rougeL_xlingual_track
display_name: "ROUGE-L (Xlingual Track)"
description: "ROUGE-L score between the model's prediction and the gold references. Xlingual Track is for the non-English Tasks."
# Required: A description of the table of scores to show.
metrics_table:
# Required: A list of columns to display.
columns:
# Required: Column name that is displayed on the page.
- name: ROUGE-L (Default Track)
# Optional: A description of the column. This appears as a tooltip when
# hovering over the column.
description: Default Track is for the English Tasks.
# Required: A rendering component to use when displaying the column.
# These renderers are implemented:
#
# * The renderer "simple" displays just one metric plainly.
# * The renderer "error" displays a metric with two error values (one positive
# and one negative) in the superscript and subscript.
# * The renderer "range" displays a metric with two values -
# one in the superscript and subscript.
renderer: "simple"
# Required: A list of metric keys to look up metric values and provide to
# the rendering component.
#
# * For renderer "simple", only one metric key is needed.
#
# * For renderer "error", three metrics are needed: a score, an upper
# error and a lower error. For example, if the score is 0.847, the
# upper error is 0.15, and the lower error is 0.23, then this renderer
# will render these three metrics like this:
#
# +0.15
# 0.847
# -0.23
#
metric_keys: ["rougeL_default_track"]
- name: ROUGE-L (Xlingual Track)
description: Xlingual Track is for the non-English Tasks.
renderer: simple
metric_keys: ["rougeL_xlingual_track"]
# Required: Information that impacts the display of your leaderboard in the UI
metadata:
# Optional: The groups your leaderboard belongs to. Valid ids are "darpa" and
# "ai2". If you don't enter a value here, the leaderboard won't be displayed
# anywhere in the UI.
tag_ids:
- ai2
# Required: The logo for your leaderboard. It should reside in the file
# ui/src/assets/images/leaderboard/ID/logo.svg where ID is the identifier of
# this board. To create a logo, contact the ReViz team: reviz@allenai.org.
logo: /assets/images/leaderboard/genie_natural_instructions/logo.svg
# Required: An abbreviation identifying your leaderboard.
#
# Please think of an interesting name. For example, YRLDRBRD or XGQCCTvN are
# bad names because they're not pronouncible nor memorable , while something
# like QASC or ARC or DROP are better.
short_name: Natural Instructions
# Required: The fully qualified leaderboard name.
long_name: "Natural Instructions: A Leaderbaord for Benchmarking Learning from Instructions"
# Required: A paragraph describing your leaderboard. Markdown is not
# supported in this field.
description: >
The goal of Natural-Instructions project is to provide a good quality benchmark for measuring generalization to unseen tasks.
This generalization hinges upon (and benefits from) understanding and reasoning with natural language instructions that
plainly and completely describe a task (traditionally defined as mapping an input string to an output string).
Models equipped with "understanding" language instructions, should successfully solve any unseen task, if they are provided
with the task instructions.
# Required: An example question from your leaderboard. This field supports
# markdown.
example: |
**Definition**: The input is taken from a negotiation between two participants who take the role of campsite neighbors and negotiate for Food,
Water, and Firewood packages, based on their individual preferences and requirements. Given an utterance and recent dialogue context
containing past 3 utterances (wherever available), output Yes if the utterance contains the small-talk strategy, otherwise output No.
small-talk is a cooperative negotiation strategy. It is used for discussing topics apart from the negotiation, in an attempt to build
a rapport with the opponent. For example, discussing how the opponent is doing during the pandemic or sharing excitement for the camping trip.
**Input**: Context: 'Okay, that makes sense. I really need water. I am willing to trade you all 3 of the food if you will give me all of the
water. What do you think?' 'I think that sounds okay but I need at least one water please?'
'If you want one water you can only have 2 foods. Do you really need the water? It sounds like food is a much more important item to you🙂'
Utterance: 'Ok I will take 3 food and 3 firewood and you can all 3 water? 🙂'
**Expected Output**: No
# Required: Instructions for getting the datasets associated with your
# leaderboard. This field supports markdown.
getting_the_data: |
You can get the Natural Instructions data [here](https://github.com/allenai/natural-instructions/releases).
To participate this benchmark, you are supposed to follow our official train/test setup described [here](https://github.com/allenai/natural-instructions/tree/master/splits),
and only use the tasks in `train_tasks.txt` for modeling purpose.
# Required: An explanation of how scores are calculated. This field supports
# markdown.
scoring: |
We ROUGE-L score as our aggregated metric for comparing different models.
ROUGE-L score is computed between your model's prediction and the gold references.
# Required: An explanation of what user submissions should look like. This
# field supports markdown.
predictions_format: |
Your predictions should be output as jsonl in a single file, with a line per
prediction, like so:
```
{"id": "task020-8916b24a83b04aaa8594a93446091ec5", "prediction": "Yes"}
{"id": "task640-0094066e49e64971a69080be4d61c4d3", "prediction": "neutral"}
{"id": "task102-96273466e8d34ef897e848f9d2bd2c71", "prediction": "Skier skis down the slope."}
```
`id` will be used to match the testing instances. Although we have two tracks (default English track and the xlingual track),
you should submit your predictions for both track in a single file and our system will automatically calculate the scores for each track.
You can also submit the predictions of a single track, or part of the test set. Missing predictions will be regarded as an empty string.
Check out our evaluation script [here](https://github.com/allenai/natural-instructions/blob/master/eval/automatic/evaluation.py).
